Better Business Council
The Better Business Council, a
committee of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, is
a consumer resource organization, which acts as a
neutral source to help resolve complaints and disputes
between consumers and businesses. The Better Business
Council, "BBC" strives to build public confidence in
local businesses by promoting honest and ethical
business practices.
The Better Business
Council Board of Director's meets the second Thursday of
the month at 8:30 am at the Titusville Area Chamber of
Commerce in the boardroom.
Points of information relevant to the
BBC:

A business/associate MUST be a member of the
Titusville Chamber before they can become a member of
the BBC, and agree to abide by a code of ethics.

BBC members pay an additional dues amount of
$110.00.

BBC members get additional membership perks.

The BBC takes complaints against North Brevard
Businesses. There is a $10.00 administration fee to file
a complaint. There are certain policies and procedures
that must be met first before a complaint is filed.

The BBC is not a government agency.

Consumers can contact the BBC for referrals for
businesses at no charge.
If
you desire to register a complaint about a business the
following criteria must be met:
1)
You have attempted to resolve this complaint by
discussing it with the business owner or manager.
2)
You are seeking a tangible resolution to your complaint.
Apologies from the owner, forcing a change in a
business' operating policies, are not examples of
tangible resolutions. A tangible resolution would be a
refund, a re-rendering of a service, or a replacement of
a product.
3)
You fill out a complaint form and return it with a $10
processing fee.

that a complaint does not become part of a business'
record until it is processed through the
BBC Complaint Flow Chart System.
