Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade
"The Strength of a Healthy Village"
The Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade
Monday, January 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
The old African proverb says "it takes a village." It is time to strengthen the village through good health. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Human progress is neither automatic not inevitable... Every step toward the goal requires sacrifice, suffering; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals."
Our parade will be filled with dazzling floats, Churches, Organizations, Peace and Youth Groups. This parade is coordinated by the North Brevard Branch of the NAACP, in conjunction with North Brevard Ministerial Alliance.
Parade Route: Begins at corner of Harrison Street & Barna Avenue, to Deleon Avenue, to Union Street, to Dummitt Avenue, and ending at Issac Campbell Park on South Street.
Festival Location: Issac Campbell Park
There will be food and craft vendors, live entertainment, educational, bounce houses, and other family-friendly activities!
