Titusville Area Visitors Council
This council is a committee of the Chamber that is
dedicated to making Titusville a vacation destination
for both domestic and international visitors. Membership
gives you a vote in how Titusville can make that a
reality. It provides your business with the opportunity
to network with other business leaders who are dedicated
to promoting Titusville's tourism industry.
Each year the TAVC manages a budget of over $45,000 to
promote tourism travel to Titusville. The majority of
this funding comes from the 5% "bed tax" collected by
hotels from their guests and administered by the Brevard
Board of County Commissioners. As a member of the TAVC
your business can provide input and feedback as to how
that funding is invested.
TAVC works with Visit Florida USA and international
wholesale organizations. TAVC projects include a rack
card with distribution on major highways in Florida and
Georgia and at the KSC Information Desk, a brochure with
distribution in the five State-operated Welcome Centers,
advertisements in several nationally
distributed publications, and the
www.spacecityFLusa.com website. TAVC also
distributes member information in vacation packages
requested through the Titusville Area Chamber of
Commerce.
